- Pursuant to Section 7114(a)(2)(B) of Title 5 U.S. Code, the exclusive union (for the HDI Federal Center that is Local 1626) must be given the opportunity to represent any employee at an examination (investigation) if:
> At a formal discussion with the employer, if you reasonably believe that the examination (investigation) may result in disciplinary action
> You request union representation
- The union will be given the opportunity to be present at any formal discussion which may:
> Result in a grievance of an employee
> Issues that may affect personnel policies
> Other general conditions of employment
Master Labor Agreement
- Employees may request representation prior to the meeting or decides after meeting has started
- If requesting representation, you have up to 4 hours to get a representative before the meeting will be held unless mutually agreed to delay longer
